nathalie rozot is a multidisciplinary planning and design consultant based in New York. Her design and management portfolio includes distinguished large-scale public space projects in design disciplines encompassing lighting design, exhibit design, architecture, landscape architecture and urban planning. She served as a Director for the award-winning firm l’Observatoire International, before starting her own lighting design practice in 2006, and founding in 2008 PHOTIC, Planning & Design Inc. While pursuing independent research projects, she participates in collective experimental design projects with a variety of collaborators ranging from software artists to environmental graphic designers and lighting designers. She was awarded grants by the City of Paris and the New York Foundation for the Arts, and her work has been featured in Paris, Rome, Osaka and New York. Adjunct faculty at Parsons the New School for Design’s MFA lighting design program since 2001, she regularly contributes as a guest lecturer and critic to academic programs, in landscape architecture schools (Ecoles Nationales Supérieures de Paysage) in Versailles and Lille, and schools of architecture at CUNY, Pratt and Columbia University, and she lectures internationally.
